The mission of the Northampton Public Schools, in partnership with parents, guardians and the Northampton community, is to promote and support high achievement by each student in a safe, healthy secure environment and to enable each student to become a critical thinker and socially responsible citizen in a global society.

• Goal 1: Ensure equal access to education to all NPS students and improve student assessment scores for all students
• Goal 2: Provide safe, secure, clean and accessible school facilities.
• Goal 3: Align district budget with district priorities and district goals.
• Goal 4: Create a school system that is respectful and welcoming of the diverse members of the community and integrating them into the school culture.
• Goal 5: Provide accountable professional development opportunities to all staff working with students to insure high quality staff, and to insure continuance of curriculum revision and review, PK - 12.
